Trick Mirror: Reflections on Self-Delusion, by Jia Tolentino
4.0
Probably 4.5 stars, but I was excited about this, so I am happy to round up.
Such timely, nuanced essays. I look forward to following Tolentino's career in the years to come! I also really appreciated that this felt like a true collection--not just cobbled-together essays that loosely address the theme. There's a definite, apparent through-line, and I also appreciated the mix of personal content with criticism.
