I wish this had taken place under the sea, I was not a fan of the medieval setting the MC gets taken to. I also didn't understand why she had to ve transported back in time instead of a more fantastical medieval world. It just felt more like a court drama since there is little magic used, besides transforming into mermaid/human. I will say this is a good book for fans of light fantasy, romance books.
