There is so much going on in this book and so the part I was most interested in (what went wrong on the ship) was burnt out quickly to make room for everything else. I liked the commentary but some people might find it a bit heavy handed? For me I like for it to be obvious and here it was obvious imo. Also I had no idea this book is about a cult and I kinda get the title, but it doesn't quite fit. Idk, I think it would've been better to just make the book about a cult trying to find salvation in the stars and it going wrong and not also about what went wrong on the ship cause that part doesn't really fit with the title.
Also in the end we didn't really get answers. For me I think it makes sense that everything isn't clear and that there are at least some things that aren't just immediately obvious to the characters, but for people that want to completely understand everything then they won't like it.
Also there is little to no romance so for people like me that don't want romance in their books will like that.
Fantastic job world building without a bunch of exposition.
