I got this book because I was looking for a fantasy-action-romantic tale that was about actual adults. Ranging from ages 20-23, the main characters almost give me that adult feel, but overall the narration is still pretty juvenile. I guess that's what "new adult" is, YA but youre allowed to have to characters be more intimate? But the plot was so grabbing, I eventually released by gripes about how the story was being told and just accepted it for what it is. And now I'm reaaaallly hoping for the next book.

SpoilerI just wish Violet's descriptions of her love interests were as interesting as those of her friends. They almost always fell flat like "he's just so fucking hot." instead of something more believeable or, as I said, interesting... It got old fast.
