A Murder in Time by Julie McElwain

4.0

I’m appalled as to why this book is underrated, cause THIS IS SO FREAKIN' GOOD!

The romance here is taking the backseat cause you’re in for a ride of sleuthing mysteries, serial killings, post-mortems, interrogations, and a lot of don’t judge a book by its covers.

I enjoyed time-traveling with Kendra Donovan in the early 19th century as well as her action-packed time in the 21st.

I love how the book sticks to the premise of her character–A frankenbaby, a child of two genius scientist who experiments on human enhancement. She is a protégé, A college student at fourteen, and cut herself from her parents’ strings to become the youngest FBI agent to be accepted–that is not an easy character to flesh out, but no worries, the writer has quite the brilliant mind as what her character’s promise.

The writing was simply enthralling and informative. It was credible in the sense of Kendra’s character. All the investigating, historical, and scientific tidbits were such a treat. I admire how her keen mind works and how systematic her process in finding the murderer. Everything unraveled wonderfully until the end, and there are still four more books to divulge…IM SO EXCITED!!!
