Worth the Fight by Vi Keeland

2.0

I picked this up because I've read 'The Baller' by this same author and loved that. This didn't quite do it for me. I couldn't square this read with the one I'd read previously from this same author. It read like the author was trying out their training wheels. It had little emotional depth and a few too many cliches at work. Hey, I read romances, cheese and cliche often works on me but in this case nah.

I checked out the publications dates and this was written a few years earlier than 'The Baller'. Maybe she hadn't got into the groove yet or maybe this was a one off. I'll be reading more of Vi Keeland in any case.
