If We Were a Movie by Kelly Oram

3.0

MY THOUGHTS:
It was a cute and fun read. It may not be one of my favorites by her but it was still a cute simple read.

GOOD POINTS:
I really enjoyed the characters! I really loved Nate’s growth. From winy boy to standing up for what he wanted. And what made him happy. Plus, Mrs. Oram made them pretty young and let’s be honest, we don’t always know what we want. And I thought she handled that really well. When I was their age, I was not that wise and I for one weren’t be able to handle that scary witch of an ex-girlfriend. >.<

I enjoyed how normal of a read this was. Everything was like “kay, that’s been done before but wow, you made it your own. You owned the whatsbeendonebefore” And it was funny! The two main characters knew this about themselves. They knew that they were heading into a world that many people follow down and not a lot of them make it. They made fun of themselves but still wanted to push through. I was nodding the whole time. I was like ‘You guys go. You do this. Be bad.” Lol

BAD POINTS:
Another simple read and Nate was waning a lot. I was like dude, grow up a little! And please for the love of god, get rid of the women that doesn’t fit you. His ex-girl was a simple over the type women that most people think of. That girl that’s like bossyyoudoitmywayorhellwillhappen kind of women. And I really didn’t think Mrs. Oram should have done that. I think she could have made a much better character that was still the same but better. More personality. You already knew what was going to happen. He was going to choose the movie maker girl who understood him and not the girl he was with for three years.

The ex-girlfriend was a bitch. Like wow. You don’t have to go that far if you were losing someone! You’re not old enough to be that cruel and I really didn’t agree with that. A 20something female weren’t go that far to keep a boyfriend who didn’t want her. *shrugs* but that’s just me. Lol

OVERALL:
What if you lived in a movie and you were trying to not live that way but in the end; you both fell for the movie.
