The Folly by Marion Chesney

2.0

So much emphasis on the mysterious house and the various other mysteries (
SpoilerDid evil Minerva kill her husband? What will she do to win Charles' love? What is the true story behind Miss Trent? Is there really a ghost? What is the weird plantation owner planning?
), plus way too many viewpoints in use, meant that the romance was decidedly an afterthought. None of the characters got enough screen-time to be compelling.
