The Apartment: A Horror Story (Blumhouse Books) by S.L. Grey
2.0
This novel barely qualifies as horror. I finished it hoping the slow-building suspense would pay off, but it didn't.
A few 'unsettling' events occur in the apartment, followed by more at home, leading to an underwhelming climax. Unfortunately, I never felt as unsettled as the characters.
It's disappointing because I enjoy the authors' writing style. Without that, it might have ended up on my DNF list.
