Star Trek, Volume 7: The Khitomer Conflict by Mike Johnson

2.0

Why is AOS so dystopian? It lacks most of what Trek had to offer that nothing else in the world had. The promise of a great (and mostly peaceful) world to live in (unless you go into uncharted territory, of course there’ll be dangers), lots of fun and lots of slow and philosophical adventures. I’m missing it.

This one was just about conspiracy (as in Section 31 and how they are still legal, WHY?!) and war. Nothing about interpersonal relationships, nothing about exploring new worlds, nothing about changing morals to include non-binaries, androids, ... Nothing about what Star Trek does best.
