I think of Murakami as one if my comfort authors, but this book really fell flat for me. I feel like it was just existentialism inbetween descriptions of womens breasts and drinking beer. It felt very boring for me and I kept hoping that at the end itd get wrapped up and id understand why i was put through so much nothingness. The writing is wonderful and theres some excellent quotes however I wouldn’t recommend this be your first Murakami book.
