I was totally rooting for Peter and Lara-Jean, their relationship is so cute. But my goodness they really need to work on their communication more, then neither of them would feel so insecure

i think there had been just enough time between reading for me to remember the basic plot, but forget all the details. now time to rewatch the film and cringe at the way it’s half the best subplots 🙄 (i love it really)

thoughts while rereading

The non-dating type? What kind of type is that? A little mushroom who sits at home in a semi-dark room growing moss?

p116: i would fall in love on the spot
p117: strawberry jam??? at least choose cranberry sauce!
p143: he didn’t write it, but we very much appreciate the thought
p145: if you wear it in the shower too much you might damage it!
p169: the actual heck?? 14yr olds should NOT be having to go on the pill!! (unless it’s for periods)
p241: oh flip sake! the girl comes up with an ingenious plan and the boy doesn’t even show 😤
p270: proud of john for working on his public speaking and getting rid of his stutter
p285: well i for one really appreciate that. give her space to sort her heart
p328: don’t give up peter! this is a start, keep it going
p335: oh god. i get why peter didn’t want to say anything 💔
p336: before, he lied. he said lara jean didn’t drive him crazy. now they both know the truth

"We said we wouldn't break each other's hearts. What if we do it again?"
"What if we do? If we're so guarded, it's not going to be anything. Let's do it for real. Let's go all in. No more contract. No more safety net. You can break my heart. Do whatever you want with it."
