Rating is, 3.4 or something like that. It was fun, and entertaining.
After hero get left on that altar- Mutual dislike but reluctant attraction kinda on both sides, led to heat of the moment kiss, followed by let’s try to get it out of the system seggs, followed by causal fling with a dose of friends with benefits kinda situation leading to a very good slow burn romance.
The thing that I didn’t like was how Ted pimped her out and had her to try placating and appeasing that creepy old fart’ (contractor) advances but not really, just do this from faraway kinda thing..because they wanted that project for their town. It was a very ehh thing imo + he was misogynistic pig too;
Scene- (in conversation with his friend about friend’s wife) “You need to get her pregnant again. She doesn’t have as much energy when she’s pregnant.”
And the hero was best friends’ about to be groom, which best friend ditched at the very last moment lmao
Note: this is the third book that I have read by the author, kiss an angel was my first, nobody’s baby but mine was dnf 🥴 heroine acts like an old hag and cries because she doesn’t have a baby yet, not my thing; tho this was absolutely incredible!! Loved it. And ending was cute, and so them! 😭
