grady hendrix is quickly becoming one of my faves, it seems!!  absolutely adored this -- even a little more than my best friend's exorcism, although it's a CLOSE race between them.  spectacular, dark, suffused with humour in all the right places and deep emotion everywhere else.  like the horror version of ya-ya sisterhood???  brilliant.
