There is so much that I did not like about this book, from gender roles to female characters, to mistrust. But I also learned so much about writing an excellent friends to lovers and there is so much that this book does so well. 

 Navigating the friend versus romance roles, how to incorporate the other friends into the new messy dynamic, dealing with new job situations when it will effect a relationship and so much more. I will study this book as part of a masterclass in actually building a relationship between two characters. Madsen does a lot so well in this one.
