Crave Me by Cecy Robson

4.0

Ever since my maternity leave started I’ve been on a reading spree. And I’m so happy with that, because I lost my reading mojo for a while. Not only do I enjoy reading a lot again at the moment, I also enjoy listening to audiobooks while I’m busy preparing for the arrival of our baby girl. So when I saw the sign up for ‘Crave Me’ I knew I just had to request an audiobook for this one. And thankfully I got it. ‘Crave Me’ is the third book in the Family O’Brien series but can be read as a standalone.

In ‘Crave Me’ we meet Wren O’Brien. Wren is the only girl from a big Irish family and she has always been surrounded by her brothers. Wren is definitely what you call a tough girl. She isn’t afraid to speak her mind, and she takes care of the people she loves. But Wren holds a secret about her ex-boyfriend. And now he is trying to make her life miserable. Thankfully Wren soon meets Evan Jonah a handsome and rich businessman who just moved here from London. And he is the perfect distraction. From the moment Wren and Evan meet there are sparks flying everywhere. And although Wren tries to stop it, soon she just can’t deny her feelings anymore.

‘Crave Me’ is my second Cecy Robson book and I must say I’m totally loving her stories. Although, as with all audiobooks, it took me a little while to get into this story, I definitely loved both main characters Wren and Evan. They were just so fun to get to know. I loved how feisty and tough Wren was. And the stories she told made me laugh out loud many times. And Evan.. well I just adored him. He was so sweet to Wren and I loved the way he was so open about his feelings for her.

Like I said, the beginning of this audiobook took me a little time to get used too. The narrator Tara Langella talked with this accent when she spoke as Wren and I always need to get used to that. I honestly wasn’t really sure I was able to enjoy this book because of that accent. But thankfully the accent started to grow on me, and before I started the third chapter I loved this audiobook and the narrator. Above all I loved the way her voice altered between Wren and Evan. It definitely made me want to keep on listening.

The romance between Wren and Evan was really good. Cecy Robson definitely did a great job with that. There was a lot of chemistry, mystery and plenty of toe-curling sexy moments. I still would have loved this book if there were a little less sex scenes, but I guess this fitted the characters.

‘Crave Me’ was definitely a very enjoyable and fun audiobook for me. And it made me want to check out the other books in this series. I just have to know more about those O’Brien brothers.
