Killing November by Adriana Mather

5.0

Quite the page turner! This book features a hidden academy for a secret society with founding families and specialized classes such as weapons, poisons, deception, etc. An influence of Harry Potter on the author appears evident. There is even a little Romeo and Juliet spin thrown into the plot. A bit of an otherworldly vibe with all the secrecy mixed in, this book is an exciting, suspenseful, thriller murder mystery, and I thoroughly enjoyed every page. The conspiratorial factors alone were enough to drive me quickly through the story. The well-developed characters solidified everything. The next one in this series cannot come out soon enough. I need to know November’s next moves.
