Alright this book was really... weird.
So I was totally yay Simon in the previous book, but in this book the relationship between Simon and Clary was just cringy. He seemed to be holding onto to something that just wasn’t there and she was obviously interested in Jace (wut). I mean the scene... with the kiss... YOU KNOW WHICH ONE! Like why was I rooting for that!? THEY ARE SIBLINGS. I disgust myself 😂.
Simon turning into a vampire was super wtf and unnecessary. I facepalmed that rebirth scene. Why?
A couple cool things though. Jace’s newly discovered “I can drop from extreme heights and not die” skill. Like yeah, that’s dope. Clary can create those sigil thingers, yeah that’s totally awesome.
I’m still interested in continuing with the series so obviously it wasn’t a total lost cause of a book 🤷🏼♀️
