The City of Brass by S.A. Chakraborty
5.0
Delivers on a number of levels.
As a fantasy filled with myths, monsters and settings not familiar to me, but just on the cusp of my awareness (djinns and Egyptian/Arabian settings).
The characters are great and the story is constructed in such a way as to shift your allegiance between the warring factions.
No way I'm missing the rest of this trilogy, but may wait a bit, so as to prolong the pleasure of the tale.
