Reading Between the Crimes by Kate Young

5.0

Reading Between the Crimes is the 2nd book in the Jane Doe Book Club Mysteries Series by Kate Young in which Lyda has been working with her uncle for about two years now at Cousins Investigative Service. The annual October Pub Crawl was something Lyda and her friends were looking forward to every year in Sweet Mountain north of Atlanta.

The Jane Doe Book Club was meeting this month at Sweet Mountain Library to discuss their latest book "Crooked House." Harper Richardson one of the Librarians was on her cell phone as Lyda walked in which Lyda over heard the distress and anger in Harper's voice The Jane Doe's were worried about Harper after hearing about her life at home. Upon leaving after Jane Doe meeting Lyda and her grandmother, Daisy headed to the charity benefit at Lyda's parents house. Lyda wanted to see the new Library that was recently renovated in which Gran's finds a body in there. Poor man was Leonard Richardson, Harper's husband! Who would kill him?

This story had a lot of twists and turns which kept me guessing until the end. I love the fact that we learned a lot about Lyda's mothers family. I can't wait for the next book!
