Someone at work posted a flyer about a book club reading of this and I decided to give it a try with just a week to get through it. I made it over halfway, but it was hard to face the injustice in such detail with so little hope for any real change. This is what systemic racism looks like over the course of hundreds of years in a country that claims to be "of, by, and for the people"
