“There are some things, after all, that Sally Owen’s knows for certain: Always throw spilled salt over your left shoulder. Keep rosemary by your garden gate. Add pepper to your mashed potatoes. Plant roses and lavender, for luck. Fall in love whenever you can”. 🌹
When I watched the movie for the first time recently and saw that there was a book. I had to read it! I really enjoyed this dare I say more than the movie? I loved the detail, the character relationships and how much time went by while shit was hitting the fan. This really is a fall read. I sat and read it on the porch, near the window while it rained, in a pumpkin patch, etc. if you like a more flushed out story give it a read! The only thing I wish it had more of was magic ✨
