Our Year of Maybe by Rachel Lynn Solomon

4.0

life pro tip: don't give an organ to your unreciprocated crush. thanks for listening!

seriously, though, this was an emotional rollercoaster. i've been moving away from YA for a while now (never thought i'd see the day!) and at this point, most of my reads in the genre are from the depths of my TBR list that i'm trying to clean out. but our year of maybe reminds me that there is good, heartbreaking YA out there that can still resonate with people in their (gags) mid-20's.

came for the tortured young lovers angle, left having read a book that asks you what it would look like to donate an organ with your fingers crossed that it might tie you to this person for life and potentially result in some heavy petting. i was not disappointed.
