I absolutely adored this book and its characters and its wonderful cosy Christmassy vibe. I didn't love it quite as much as the first two books in the series, both of which I gave five stars to, for reasons I'll get into, but on the whole I had such a great time reading it. I adored both Wes and Adam, and loved seeing their relationship develop. The side characters are of course brilliant too, and I particularly loved Gus.
There are a couple of reasons why this book wasn't quite perfect for me. The first is that, for a dual-POV narrative, it feels unfairly weighted towards Adam. I loved Wes and wish we had spent a bit more time in his POV, particularly towards the end of the book. The second is that, while of course you make certain allowances with Christmas romances, things between Adam and Wes felt just a little bit too intense too fast for me, considering that there's a child involved.
I still thoroughly enjoyed my time reading this, and can see it being one I go back to. Roan Parrish continues to be an author I know I can go to when I just need to be hit straight in the feels.
