Wow!
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this book. Went into it not certain what to expect.
What I received was a novel which has managed to combined the angsty love of a PNR/Fated mate novel, with the beauty of a well built fantasy world, along with a healthy dose of political intrigue. The spice is just the cherry on the top.
A Warrior's Fate delivers where other similar books fall short; the characters are captivating, the world building is stunning and the love story is believable.
Isla is the perfect FMC. She is sassy, kind, protective of her loved ones, and driven. Kai is just the right amount of possessive, brooding and yet respectful. The side character dynamics add so much to the story, and there are some great one liners.
The twists to the story were great and kept me interested to the end. I was almost sad when I read the last page.
Melissa is definitely an author to watch and I look forward to her next work.
