Hunger: A Memoir of (My) Body by Roxane Gay

dark hopeful reflective sad medium-paced

5.0

This book contained multitudes. It was devastating and heart breaking and so real and raw. I already know I need to reread this book and write down the incredible quotes. I think I’m going to purchase this book to add to my collection bc of the wisdom it holds. The reality of sexual violence our cultural norms and societal expectations hits you like a slap in the face. There is so much violence in the world from physical to systemic to fat phobia and Roxane’s narrative is poetic and needed. This was a profound read.
