Was this as much of a thrill ride as the original trilogy? No. Was it a compelling backstory that expanded the world and history of Panem? Yes, and I was hooked from start to finish.

I loved the characters, even our anti-hero Snow; it’s always fun when you don’t see eye to eye with the storyteller. The writing was just as solid as the first books, and the novel (as usual) was better than the movie—worth the read for Hunger Games fans.
