The Strange Case of Origami Yoda by Tom Angleberger

4.0

When Tommy's weird friend Dwight brings a Yoda finger puppet to school everyone writes it off as another odd quirk of Dwight's, but when Yoda starts dispensing advice that actually works Tommy decides to find out if Origami Yoda is for real. He complies a case study (this novel), which includes stories told from multiple character's perspectives, complete with illustrations and comments from both Tommy and his non-believing friend Harvey.

This is a hilarious take on all the drama of middle school. Angleberger has an authentic voice, and the stories are short and entertaining. The audio version includes multiple actors portraying the different characters, and it's a fantastic production.
