The Unlikely Spy by Daniel Silva

4.0

Although this was a huge fictional book (752 pages), it was rich in history and based on the very real-life attempt by the Allies to use British Intelligence to cover up the true plans for D-Day during WWII. Don’t get overwhelmed by the vast cast of characters (and there are a lot), as the author revisits them time and again so you can see each character’s role very clearly. Excellent mix of real-life villains and heroes, as well as fictional characters make this an excellent story about how the Allies stopped Hitler and his reign of terror. If you like spy thrillers, this is right up your alley. And I believe they made a movie about it or are planning to. Love to see how this book gets interpreted on the big screen.
