Wildfire by Ilona Andrews

4.0

Terrible cover art but at least the title is slightly better than the other two in the series. Behind all that is an excellent urban fantasy with a solid story and great characters.
On one hand, it would have been nice to have the conspiracy arc resolved by now because I don’t tend to love the super villain is behind everything drawn-out stories, but the story doesn’t feel stale yet with everything going in and the forward movement of character and story development so it seems to be working for this series. Ilona Andrews did the same thing with the Kate Daniels books and those books are great so I’m not worried for Nevada’s story.
As a side note, I love how Nevada stands her own against Rogan when she doesn’t agree with him. And her powers (and entire family) are awesomely badass.
