I would have read this anyway because it's the latest in the series, but I bumped it up my list because of a hugely enthusiastic recommendation from one of my high schoolers. It was... not what I expected? Heads up for librarians (esp middle school librarians who are likely to buy), worth knowing that trauma and physical and psychological abuse are major plot lines, and there's also a fair bit of relatively graphic sex, more than usual for YA and def more than I expected with Graceling in mind.
I'm not sure if I *liked* it, but I was absolutely absorbed from beginning to end.
