Girl, Interrupted by Susanna Kaysen

3.75

Kaysen writes of her time in McLean Hospital, weaving in pieces of her past and future within this memoir. she is a girl interrupted by this parallel universe that she occupies as a patient of the hospital. she paints her fellow patients in vivid colors and contrasts them with the “world” , with how they’re perceived by others not in their universe. really incredible book, read in less than a day. Kaysen offers insight into ourselves, into our perceptions, into our desires and fears. she shows us who we are. honestly, i related a lot to her within this memoir.
