It’s an easy read and touches on some more serious themes while staying lighthearted. Reading this as an adult, I tended to appreciate the adult characters more and how you can understand a lot about them even from their minimal lines and scenes. The author does a great job of showing the immaturity of the teenage characters and how they’re naive to their own behavior. Overall, I think the show was more enjoyable, but the book was quick and easy to read.
