Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman by Haruki Murakami

So it turns out an animated adaptation of Murakami’s short stories just came out in theaters, watch the trailer for Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman here. I’m so excited because like, look at this:

So the film is a straight-through story that adapts six different Murakami stories from across three of his collections (including the titular Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman) and is set following the Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami in 2011. Of the stories being told is this little gem from [b:After the Quake|11299|After the Quake|Haruki Murakami|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1388271916l/11299._SY75_.jpg|6179815]:

So yes, I do want to see the frog man fight to save the world.
