This book is a series of vignettes about people who work in or live next to a community garden. Each chapter is from one character’s perspective. No characters repeat chapters, but you can kind of see how different characters you’ve already read about are sprinkled throughout new characters’ chapters. This is not a book I would have chosen to teach, but it is a book I will be teaching. I don’t see kids being interested in this, but maybe I will be wrong.
