Moonlight Masquerade by Jude Deveraux

2.0

this book was really interesting and captivating, for a third of it. the first half was kind of boring, sort of just the before for what you hope is a really good climax. then the second third was like okay, can’t stop reading. and then immediately after, it fell flat. it was just like she was trying to tie up loose ends, which weren’t all tied up anyway (whatever happened to Reede’s friend who was going to decode the cookbook?) so while the middle was really good, the rest didn’t live up. and you didn’t care for the characters because they didn’t stand out. there wasn’t anything all that wrong with them, except for reede’s bad attitude. i wish the rest of the book could have been as good as the middle part :/
