A Lie for a Lie by Helena Hunting

fast-paced

3.0

The author made some … interesting choices in regards to one of the characters backstories, that ended up feeling very out of place in this book.

I also would’ve liked it a lot better if the chapters taking place a year ago hadn’t been presented in one go but rather in between the chapters of Rook and Lainey meeting again, building the story up to the ‘reveal’ in the present time.
