Pack Up the Moon by Kristan Higgins

This is the rudest book I’ve ever picked up. Of course it’s my own fault. It had been on my physical TBR for a couple years, but I had completely forgotten what it was about. So when I saw it in the audible plus catelogue, I decided to go ahead and start it that way. Have to say, the narration was fantastic. Both narrators really did a great job. I am adding them to my faves list.
That said, this book was hard. I pretty much cried the entire time. It’s about the loss of a spouse via terminal illness. It was beautifully done. And it didn’t feel like trauma 🌽 (you know, trauma for the sake of trauma). I could even see how it’d be cathartic for some. But this alone rates it down for me because I frankly am not a reader who generally purposefully reads books that make me cry and cry and cry. And cry some more.
Overall though, it was a beautiful story, lovingly told.
Recommend if you like a good cry.
