The Return of the King by J.R.R. Tolkien
5.0
It still amazes me that a story I've read so many times still finds a way to inspire and excite me. Some of my most favorite parts of The War of the Ring happen in this book and it blows me away every time. I will now have to listen to the Serkis recording after hearing the OG and up until recently, only unabridged recording of the Trilogy. This series is perfect and I'm tearing up thinking about how much I love it.
Shoutout to Rob Inglis who did an amazing job (even though I didn't appreciate his pronunciation of certain characters and places namely Arwen....) had the utter balls to do the Appendices as well just bravo. I legit almost started bawling at the story of Arwen and Aragorn in there.
Also can we get like a mini-series of Aragorn's Ranger days just basically being a fucking pirate, taking out Corsair ships and then peacing out when he was about to get a medal for that shit. What an absolute Chad Aragorn was in his younger days. Gimme that shit Amazon!
Anyway, read or listen to The Lord of the Rings because it fucking rules. Send tweet!
