This is a fun lighthearted book. It's very very steamy. The steam is equally balanced without weird gross power struggles.

Persephone is particularly young in this version of the story, but she is of legal age for sure. She's a college student. She's kind of whiny and annoying, and her development is very slow. The second book is much better, but you do have to get through this one to get to that one.

Hades is more thoughtful than typically given credit. Thankfully the story is told from his perspective, and it feels more balanced that way.
