For obvious reasons she wants to keep this quiet. When current students try to befriend her it's evident that they have somewhat ulterior motives, though we're pretty clueless about what they are. Very quickly we're into rather obvious territory of two potential love interests and a hint of something mysterious going on.
The three star rating isn't because I disliked the book. It was entertaining enough, but I got frustrated by Luce's willingness to get into crazy situations with no explanation and the lack of answers.
Do think book two might prove more interesting.
