Back in 1714, Addie LaRue made a deal to get out of a spot of trouble - a deal for her soul. She is now immortal until she decides to relinquish her soul. The catch? Everyone she meets forgets about her the instant they're no longer looking at her. Until one day, a man named Henry remembers her.

Going back and forth between various time points over the last 300 years (1714 - 2014), we get Addie's story. And wow, was I hooked the whole time. V. E. Schwab's writing is so inviting and easily digestible. It's smart without feeling pretentious - my bread and butter. The characters are all likable, even the villain. I had such a fun time with this one, and will absolutely be reading more by this author.
