Been reading this one for over a week, so I’m glad to be done with it. I thought the premise of the book was really cool, but I just found the main character really stupid about a lot of things. She just seemed very ignorant. Like, I’m sorry but who hears about a resistance and is just like “oh I’m sure that’s not that big of a deal to me, a princess, part of the monarchy they want to destroy”. Also, who calmly and voluntarily eats dinner with pirates who tried to murder you? And for a while at the end of the book, it was just plot twists 24/7. And that writing was just so cheesy. I can deal with a couple of romantic lines and still think they’re sweet, but after awhile it gets really obnoxious. 3.5⭐️
