The American Wife's Secret by Chrystyna Lucyk-Berger, Chrystyna Lucyk-Berger

5.0

After receiving an ARC for this book, I decided to read the first two books in the series, and wow they were so good! I've read the whole series in the space of a week. This is the 3rd book in the series. This follows Kitty Larsson, who is now a seasoned spy working for the OSS. She is sent to Austria, where she lived when she first married Edgar. She's setting up a new spy ring through the OSS. Edgar is working on an important mission. As she is working on her mission, she starts worrying as members of their spy cell are caught and arrested. Is there a spy in their midst? Will the Nazis discover her and the others and if so will she be able to keep her secrets if she can save Edgar the man she loves? All I can say is wow what a read! It's an in-depth perspective of what it might have been like to be in deep as a spy and how it might wear you down. The writer does an amazing job of drawing rich characters and taut, tense storylines. She did a great job of wrapping up the series and I'd love a sequel to see where the character of Kitty goes from here in the post wpost-war The whole series drew me in from the start and I'll be thinking about it and the character Kitty for a long, long time!

Many thanks to NetGalley, Bookouture, and the author for the opportunity to read the digital ARC. All opinions & the review are my own.
