this morning, i finished guomen and an enormous void now lay in my heart, this was my first experience with priest - that before i couldnt believe the writing was so melancolic and vicious - and i totally love it! dou xun and xu xilin are both incredible characters, theyre deep and loveble in all aspects and i was terrible sad when the break up happened, the relationship and feelings were SO palpable that it felt like i was the one living, at the end, i was produ of how much they improved as individuous and partners. its not easy to read this book, took me while to understand their reasons and to be okay with some parts, after all, im also a 17 yers lesbian who had a very similar experience... priest was so real for that, im excited to read her other books, liuyao here i come!
