Simply Sexual by Kate Pearce

3.0

This book seems more like an excuse to have a lot of titillating and gratuitous sex scenes. But then that's exactly what some of us want, eh? I thought the tension between Sara and Valentin was really, really palpable and sizzling at the beginning but then it kind of just waned after they got it on the first time. A bit more restraint initially would have been far more sensual. The sex gets even more kinky as the story progresses, and while I thought it was unique how Pearce addresses the issue of sexual abuse in men, I don't think it quite reached the crux of the darkness and horror of such treatment. I guess I would have liked more of the love story just to strengthen the entire narrative, otherwise it's pure erotica.

A little disappointing overall.
