Asterix and the Banquet, by René Goscinny, Albert Uderzo

4.0

The Romans erect a stockade around the village to prevent the inhabitants from spreading their rebellious ideas through Gaul. Asterix bets that he and Obelix will escape the village and go on a tour of Gaul, collecting regional culinary specialties for a banquet upon their return. The best part of this story is watching Dogmatrix quietly following Asterix & Obelix around throughout their journey, and waiting for them to notice him.
