Plucky teens on a magic heist! Like Mistborn but with a better romantic subplot (Mistborn is like this but with less plucky melodrama). I liked that the characters each had their own struggles and goals, and while they used their cleverness to solve problems, each step felt earned or fought through. The world is rough but not unbelievable—choices have consequences and no one can be merciful and lawful and good at the same time. My only criticism is it ends on a bit of a cliffhanger!
Graphic: Body horror, Death, and Violence
Some gruesome scenes of eye stuff and disease/dead bodies.
