Rust: A Memoir of Steel and Grit by Eliese Colette Goldbach

4.0

I was attracted to this story because I worked in a foundry for Ford Motor Company and was curious about the similarities between that and a steel mill. This memoir covered a lot more than just the author's steel mill experience. From dealing with a sexual assault and mental illness to coming to terms with having different political views than her parents, Eliese's story was heart breaking at times and hopeful at others. I enjoyed the narrator's reading of this story.
