Much preferred Madeline Miller’s portrayal of Penelope in Circe. She is too whiny and really unlikeable in this one. Plus, I didn’t appreciate the format of the book with the choruses and the archaeological look back and the immorality of Helen and Penelope. Maybe it’s too experimental for me, but a straight story works better for me.
